Just who is JESUS CHRIST?
In the book of John 3:16 GOD’S Word states: For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
JESUS was born into this world for one purpose – to die on the cross for our sins. In 1 John 3:8 GOD’S Word States: He that committeth sin is of the devil; for the devil sinneth from the beginning. For this purpose, the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil.
JESUS CHRIST laid His life down for us, FREELY! He was crucified, died and arose from the grave on the third day. He is very much alive, as He sits at The FATHER’S right hand in heaven. Because of JESUS, and ONLY because of JESUS we have the gift of forgiveness, salvation, and eternal life. We must use our gift of free will, repent of our sins, and commit to serve JESUS CHRIST as our Lord and Savior before we are able to receive forgiveness, salvation, and eternal life.
Remember, you cannot change yourself – ONLY THE LORD GOD CAN CHANGE YOU – Come to Him just as you are. Some people feel they are not “good enough” and think they need to “fix themselves” first. WRONG! None of us can fix or save ourselves or anyone else. This is something that prevents many people from coming to JESUS CHRIST, because they feel they are beyond help or feel that it is too late for them. These are lies from the father of lies, the devil himself and do not ever believe them!
Life will certainly not be easy as a follower of JESUS CHRIST, as there are many people who will be offended by even the mention of His Name and will criticize you, maybe even threaten you for your belief. Staying on the narrow path to follow JESUS instead of the wider path to follow the world takes boldness, patience, and total faith in JESUS CHRIST! The LORD GOD will guide you through every day because He is faithful to those that He calls His own and will equip you for the trials of life. The LORD GOD is a Righteous and Loving GOD who desires for us to follow Him freely, not to be forced. He doesn’t want any of us to perish and go to hell, but if a person uses their free will to reject JESUS CHRIST and turn their back on Him, that IS what will happen. IT IS A CRUCIAL LIFE CHOICE WE ALL MUST MAKE: EITHER YOU ARE WITH JESUS CHRIST OR YOU ARE NOT- THERE IS NO MIDDLE GROUND!
I will emphasize again: Your walk with JESUS will not always be “peaches and cream”. In fact, there will be more challenges in your life, because the devil hates all of us and will certainly not be happy if you decide to follow JESUS CHRIST instead of the ways of the world, because the devil is the prince of this world. In John 14:30 JESUS CHRIST STATES: Hereafter I will not talk much with you: for the prince of this world cometh, and hath nothing in me.
Once we come to know JESUS CHRIST and accept Him as our LORD and SAVIOR, the journey doesn’t end at this point. In fact, the journey is just beginning! You must truly believe that JESUS CHRIST is the only-begotten Son of GOD The FATHER, who shed His precious blood and died on the cross for all of our sins, was laid in the tomb, and arose from the grave on the third day.
Romans 10:9 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.
Realize that no one is a “good person” without the precious blood of JESUS CHRIST to cover us and your works will never save you. In the book of Romans 3:23-24 GOD’S WORD STATES: For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God; Being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus; When we confess our sins to JESUS CHRIST and ask His forgiveness, we are blessed with a fresh new start. You must be truly sorry for your sins or it will be meaningless – you cannot fake it because The LORD GOD knows our hearts.
TIRED OF THE WAY YOU ARE LIVING?
FED UP WITH EVERYTHING GOING ON IN THE WORLD?
DO YOU FEEL HOPELESS?
THEN CRY OUT TO JESUS CHRIST, THE GOOD NEWS AND YOUR NEW JOURNEY BEGINS!
There is no special prayer that you have to recite, that is nothing but legalism. In Romans 10:13 GOD’S Word states: For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.
You will need to be baptized – NOT SPRINKLED – but totally immersed in the water, just like what JESUS did when He walked on the earth. In the book of Mark 16:16 JESUS CHRIST STATES: He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned.
In Matthew 3:13, GOD’S Word states: Then cometh Jesus from Galilee to Jordan unto John, to be baptized of him.
In Matthew 3:16-17 GOD’S Word states: And Jesus, when he was baptized, went up straightway out of the water: and lo, the heavens were opened unto him, and he saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove, and lighting upon him: and lo a voice from heaven, saying, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.
These Bible verses are a good illustration of the Holy Trinity which is The FATHER, The SON, and The HOLY SPIRIT. It is important to remember that JESUS CHRIST is GOD made flesh; therefore, JESUS CHRIST the SON and GOD the FATHER share the same HOLY SPIRIT – THEY ARE THREE IN ONE!
Pray silently unless you are praying with others because the devil will try to attack you. He is already condemned to hell, and desires to take as many people with him as he can! This is war and the devil thinks of us as pawns, if we allow ourselves to be used by him. If you address your concerns out loud, the devil hears this and will use it against you, EVERY TIME! Only The LORD GOD knows our hearts and can hear us if we pray silently, the devil cannot!
Once you are saved, it is crucial that you stay in constant prayer with The LORD GOD and with other believers. It is very important for you to have your own bible, so you can read The LORD GOD’S Holy Word every day. Just like in the natural, we need food and drink to sustain us, we also need a constant supply of JESUS CHRIST, who is the living bread and can fill us with living water. ALMIGHTY GOD has created all of us as spirit, soul, and body – our emotional, physical, and spiritual makeup. Therefore, it is important for all of these aspects of our being to be nourished and that CANNOT happen without JESUS CHRIST who is the Word made flesh.
When you begin reading your bible, don’t worry if you cannot understand things at first. The LORD will bless you with understanding because He loves all of us and desires for all of us to be saved. In the book of 2 Peter 3:9 GOD’S WORD STATES: The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.
Years ago before I was saved there was a strong feeling in my heart that there was something more powerful out there than the lies and misconceptions that I had been taught growing up. I had a continued and increased desire to pick up the bible and read it, even though it didn’t make any sense at the time. In fact, some of what I was reading was actually boring to me. This is one of the ways that the devil will try to attack you, to keep you from moving forward; because KNOWLEDGE IS POWER, and the devil does not want ANY of us to have that gift of knowledge and understanding of GOD’S Word.
You will also encounter “roadblocks” in the form of circumstances or people – maybe even your own family – that will try to keep you from studying GOD’S Word and learning the truth. It could be an outright hindrance, like someone telling you they are offended and asking you not to read the bible or speak about JESUS CHRIST. Maybe your friends are making fun of you and calling you a “religious nut” while they call the Holy Bible “hate speech”. It can also be a more subtle attack, like someone inviting you to go with them somewhere fun and exciting, like a concert or a local club, just when you are ready to spend time with The LORD GOD. I have endured many attacks like this, so I can speak from personal experience.
Think about someone you love and enjoy spending time with: whether it be your husband, wife, friends, family, etcetera. Also think about something you truly enjoy, whether it be fishing, hunting, cooking, sports, or music. I would imagine that you spend as much time as possible with this person(s) or this activity. That’s exactly what The LORD desires: for us to spend time with Him in prayer and reading His precious Holy Word. The more time you spend with The LORD and His Word, the closer your relationship with Him will become. Spending time reading the bible will reveal a wonderful insight of The LORD GOD, helps us to understand His character more, and how much He loves all of us.
The LORD GOD is not the author of confusion, so if you read the King James Version and ask Him to help you understand, He is always faithful and will give you understanding through HIS HOLY SPIRIT.
