Once we come to know JESUS CHRIST and accept Him as our LORD and SAVIOR, the journey doesn’t end at this point. In fact, the journey is just beginning! You must truly believe that JESUS CHRIST is the only-begotten Son of GOD The FATHER, who shed His precious blood and died on the cross for all of our sins, was laid in the tomb, and arose from the grave on the third day.
Romans 10:9 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.
Realize that no one is a “good person” without the precious blood of JESUS CHRIST to cover us and your works will never save you. In the book of Romans 3:23-24 GOD’S WORD STATES: For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God; Being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus; When we confess our sins to JESUS and ask His forgiveness, we are blessed with a fresh new start. Come to JESUS CHRIST just as you are and realize you cannot “fix” yourself! You must be truly sorry for your sins or it will be meaningless – you cannot fake it because The LORD GOD knows our hearts.

There is no special prayer that you have to recite, that is nothing but legalism. In Romans 10:13 GOD’S Word states: For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.
You will need to be baptized  – NOT SPRINKLED – but totally immersed in the water, just like what JESUS did when He walked on the earth. In the Bible, Mark 16:16 states: He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned.
In Matthew 3:13, GOD’S Word states: Then cometh Jesus from Galilee to Jordan unto John, to be baptized of him.
In Matthew 3:16-17 GOD’S Word states: And Jesus, when he was baptized, went up straightway out of the water: and lo, the heavens were opened unto him, and he saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove, and lighting upon him: and lo a voice from heaven, saying, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.
These Bible verses are a good illustration of the Holy Trinity which is The FATHER, The SON, and The HOLY SPIRIT. It’s important to remember that JESUS CHRIST is GOD made flesh; therefore, JESUS CHRIST the SON and GOD the FATHER share the same HOLY SPIRIT – THEY ARE THREE IN ONE!
Pray silently unless you are praying with others because the devil will try to attack you. He is already condemned to hell, and desires to take as many people with him as he can! This is war and the devil thinks of us as pawns, if we allow ourselves to be used by him. If you address your concerns out loud, the devil hears this and will use it against you, EVERY TIME! Only The LORD GOD knows our hearts and can hear us if we pray silently, the devil cannot!
Once you are saved, it is crucial that you stay in constant prayer with JESUS and with other believers. It is very important for you to have your own bible, so you can read The LORD GOD’S Word every day. Just like in the natural, we need food and drink to sustain us, we also need a constant supply of JESUS CHRIST, who is the living bread and can fill us with living water. AMEN!
ALMIGHTY GOD has created all of us as spirit, soul, and body – our emotional, physical, and spiritual makeup. Therefore, it is important for all of these aspects of our being to be nourished and that CANNOT happen without JESUS CHRIST!
When you begin reading your bible, don’t worry if you cannot understand things at first. The LORD will bless you with understanding because He loves all of us and desires for all of us to be saved. Years ago before I was saved there was a strong feeling in my heart that there was something more powerful out there than the lies and misconceptions that I had been taught growing up. I had a continued and increased desire to pick up the bible and read it, even though it didn’t make any sense at the time. In fact, some of what I was reading was actually boring to me. This is one of the ways that the devil will try to attack you, to keep you from moving forward; because KNOWLEDGE IS POWER, and the devil does not want ANY of us to have that gift of knowledge and understanding of GOD’S Word.
You will also encounter “roadblocks” in the form of circumstances or people – maybe even your own family – that will try to keep you from studying GOD’S Word and learning the truth. It could be an outright hindrance, like someone telling you they are offended and asking you not to read the bible or speak about JESUS CHRIST. Maybe your friends are making fun of you and calling you a “religious nut”. It can also be a more subtle attack, like someone inviting you to go with them somewhere fun and exciting, like a concert or a local club, just when you are ready to spend time with The LORD GOD. I have endured many attacks like this, so I can speak from personal experience.
There are countless versions of the Holy Bible out there today, but the King James Version (KJV) is the ONLY translation taken directly from the original tongues of the Hebrew and Greek languages. This is the only version that I read because other translations are not reliable. The KJV has been edited but never revised. Other versions of the bible are copied from the KJV and are nothing but revised. Some of them completely omit verses of Scripture and others add words in an attempt to make it easier to understand and/or entertain. This perverts GOD’S Word by changing it and watering it down so much, that the finished product is totally unrecognizable. Since KNOWLEDGE IS POWER, the devil completely enjoys these diluted and perverted versions of GOD’S Word, because it makes his job easier. In this fast-paced and high-tech world, it seems the majority of people desire to sit back, relax, and be entertained – but this is not always the BEST thing!
In the book of Revelation 22:18-19 GOD’S Word States: For I testify unto every man that heareth the words of the prophecy of this book; if any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book: And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book.
Think about someone you love and enjoy spending time with: whether it be your husband, wife, friends, family, etc. Also think about something you truly enjoy, whether it be fishing, hunting, cooking, sports, music. I would imagine that you spend as much time as possible with this person(s) or this activity. That’s exactly what The LORD desires: for us to spend time with Him in prayer and reading His Word. The more time you spend with The LORD and His Word, the closer your relationship with Him will become. Spending time reading the bible will reveal a wonderful insight of The LORD GOD and helps us to understand Him more, along with the purpose of our lives.
The LORD GOD is not the author of confusion, so if you read the King James Version and ask Him to help you understand, He is always faithful and will give you understanding through HIS HOLY SPIRIT. If you are in need of a bible you may click the “BIBLES” tab and send me an email request.
