There are people living in North Korea, China, Pakistan, Iraq, and parts of India to name a few that are desperate for a copy of the Holy Bible, yet we in the United States seem to take it for granted! Persecution of followers of JESUS CHRIST is on the rise around the world as well as the United States. UNLESS THESE PERSECUTORS HAVE A CHANGE OF HEART, THEY WILL SURELY EXPERIENCE A RUDE AWAKENING ON JUDGMENT DAY!
Some people argue that the bible was written by men and that is true. Men that were inspired by The HOLY SPIRIT are the ones who wrote the actual words on the pages, but THE LORD GOD is the author of every single word!
If you go into the book of 2Timothy 3:16-17, GOD’S Word states: All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: that the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly furnished unto all good works. So why are many people offended when the Word of The LORD GOD is preached to them? Because they are being convicted of their sins and desire to remain in them, where they have become comfortable! In Hebrews 4:12 GOD’S WORD STATES: For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.
There are many reasons why everyone should have their own bible, and I will list some of them right now. First of all none of us would exist without The LORD GOD creating us and breathing life into us. The LORD knows all and He knew that man would sin and fall from grace, so He provided us a way out of going to hell – JESUS CHRIST, THE GOOD NEWS! Always remember that hell is a place prepared for the devil and his angels, not man. However, if a person dies in a state of sin and rebellion toward JESUS CHRIST, that’s where they will go! In the book of Matthew 25:41 GOD’S WORD STATES: Then shall he say also to them on the left hand, Depart from me, ye cursed, into everlasting fire, prepared for the devil and his angels:
JESUS CHRIST was born without sin and He is the ONLY one qualified to take our sins upon Himself. This is how much The LORD GOD loves us! Through a miracle that only The LORD could do, JESUS was conceived by The HOLY SPIRIT and born of Mary, who was a virgin espoused to Joseph.
This is why JESUS CHRIST is called The Word made flesh. In the book of John 1:14 GOD’S WORD STATES: And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth.
The Word is the Bible, and JESUS CHRIST is The LORD’S Word made flesh. WOW, this is truly a Wonderful gift! Because The Holy Bible represents JESUS CHRIST, the Living Word, this means that the words in this precious work are inspired by The HOLY SPIRIT and are intended for all of us. Contrary to what certain scholars, scientists, and doubters may say, IT IS NOT A FAIRY TALE! Perhaps these doubters should close their science books for awhile and open the Holy Bible.
Every time I open my bible, FATHER GOD will reveal something new to me, even though I may be reading the same book, chapter, etcetera. It is an ongoing learning process for us, so we can grow and mature spiritually. JESUS CHRIST is the Living Word and He alone is the way to GOD the FATHER for forgiveness, salvation, and eternal life. The book of John 14:6 states: Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto theFather, but by me. This means there is NO other way to receive salvation: not your good deeds, going to church every week and sitting in the same pew, giving lots of money, belonging to the choir, etcetera – ONLY THROUGH JESUS CHRIST! Yes, The LORD desires for us to reach out to others in need, and there is nothing wrong with good deeds or belonging to the choir – as long as the motivation in your heart is not to be recognized, or to try and earn your way to salvation, but that it will please GOD The FATHER (Matthew 5:16).
In the book of Matthew 6:1-4 JESUS CHRIST STATES: Take heed that you do not your alms before men, to be seen of them: otherwise you have no reward of your Father which is in heaven. Therefore when thou doest thine alms, do not sound a trumpet before thee, as the hypocrites do in the synagogues and in the streets, that they may have glory of men. Verily I say unto you, They have their reward. But when thou doest alms, let not thy left hand know what thy right hand doeth: that thine alms may be in secret: and thy Father which seeth in secret himself shall reward thee openly.
The word alms could refer to donating food, money, clothing, etc. to help those in need. The main point is these matters should be something that is between you and ALMIGHTY GOD. You certainly do not need to “blow a trumpet” to announce your good works to the world.
There are countless versions of the Holy Bible out there today, but the King James Version (KJV) is the ONLY translation taken directly from the original tongues of the Hebrew and Greek languages. It is the closest version to the Hebrew bible. This is the only version that I read because other translations are not reliable. The KJV has been edited but never revised. Also all Scripture contained in the KJV is considered public domain and the other versions are copyrighted. Why? Other versions are not inspired by The HOLY SPIRIT and they copy parts from the KJV and then add their own interpretation. All of these man-made versions have had several revisions because the authors rely on their own intellect instead of ALMIGHTY GOD. Man has a need to update to a “new and improved” version. Some of these versions completely omit verses of Scripture and others add words in an attempt to make it easier to understand and/or entertain. Two examples of this would be NKJV and NIV.
This perverts GOD’S Word by changing it and watering it down so much, that the finished product is totally unrecognizable. Most important is that we are warned by ALMIGHTY GOD in Revelation Chapter twenty-two to not add to or take from His Holy Word. Since KNOWLEDGE IS POWER, Satan completely enjoys these diluted and perverted versions of GOD’S Word, because it makes his job easier. In this fast-paced and high-tech world, it seems the majority of people desire to sit back, relax, and be entertained – but this is not always the BEST thing, especially when it comes to the Word of ALMIGHTY GOD!
